BLOOD NEEDLES
Silicone-treated needles of various types and sizes (length and diameter) are used to collection blood, depending on the patient’s veins. One end of the needle is inserted into the patient’s vein, the other punctures the rubber tube stopper.
Multi-sample needles are used with a standard holder. One venipuncture, all kinds of tests.
Blood collection set with a flexible catheter and luer adapter allows to successfully obtaining a blood collection from complicated patients. Such blood-sampling systems are particularly suitable for use in pediatrics, veterinary medicine, and intensive care units.
Wings of the blood collection set (also called Butterfly needle ) provide added grip and help perform successful venipuncture.
Due to tube flexibility , the needle doesn’t move around during the procedure, minimizing the risk of mechanical damage to the vessel wall.
Butterfly needle sizes correspond to the regular needle sizes and are color coded. Each needle is silicone-treated, sterile, comes in an individual sterile pack , and is intended for a single use
